Graysen's First Trip To The Fair

Our county fair is this week and lucky for us, it's only 12 miles from our house! Graysen and I met Marit and John along with Jodie and her four kids. Tim joined us later. Tim and I are going again tomorrow afternoon with Graysen so I'll put those pictures up tomorrow night hopefully. 

We have lots of animals at our fair and it was so fun to take Graysen through the barns. I did step in what was basically a mixture of liquid poop and sawdust because there was no other way around it, but it was all worth it to see him enthralled with the animals. He studied them, smiled at them and even got to touch them! The animals were my favorite part of the fair as a child (I hated rides then and still do) so it was great to see him enjoy them too! We also have many friends' children and students that show animals at the fair so we like to go support them. Tomorrow the Midway will be open. It wasn't open this morning when we went. It was just opening as we were leaving. Here are some highlights from the day.

I'm back! Hopefully...

Wow...I can't believe it's been 4 months since my last post! I promise to start posting more. Graysen is already 6mo old and weighs in at 18lbs and 28in. I will try to put up a 6mo Graysen post as well as a progression of newborn, 3mo, 6mo photos this week. It's amazing how much has happened in the last 4 months. Graysen is sitting up on his own, eating a ton of solids (he ate 1/2-3/4 of a pancake at Breakfast with Santa on Saturday), crawling  rolling all over the house (his preferred method of transportation at the moment), pulling himself up on things...it's insane how fast time goes! 

I had planned on posting my weight loss on here. Well, that went super fast too! I am already down 45lbs, which is almost 10lbs more than what I had gained originally, which is funny because I had said I wanted to lose 10lbs before I got pregnant and that didn't happen. It was all nursing/pumping. I {hanging my head} didn't work out and ate whatever I wanted, but the weight seemed to pour off! I hope it doesn't come back on after I quit nursing/pumping. Guess I better get my butt in gear and start working out. The "New Year" is right around the corner...

I cannot wait to hopefully be posting more again. I have missed it. I plan to try to post more than just baby stuff too. I am hoping to post more DIY projects and recipes as well! Stay tuned for more posts!!
