Versatile Blogger Award

I was fortunate enough to be nominated for a Versatile Blogger Award by Hannah over at Supermommy!...or not. Thank you Hannah! I'm flattered! Hannah has an awesome blog and wonderful Etsy Shop, Annalie's Baby Boutique

So...after being nominated, I am to tell you 7 random things about myself. I always hate having to come up with things about myself when doing an ice-breaker activity and so on. I don't think my life is that exciting, but here goes nothing.

1. My dream job is to own my own store, where I sell things that I have bought at flea markets and have fixed up or refurbished. My parents would get so annoyed with me when I was younger because I would constantly either be "re-purposing" our existing furniture/stuff or taking new stuff and trying to find a different use for it. I was "green" before being green was cool!

2. I LOVE antiquing/picking/auctions. Again, this goes with #1. My favorite thing to do on the weekends is visit the antique mall  or an auction with my best friend and/or my husband. My father-in-law is an auctioneer. I swear that if Tim and I win the lottery, we'll become professional pickers!

3. My hair has probably been every color imaginable. It's now my natural color (I think). My cousin's wife is a hair stylist and she used to 'experiment' on me with the new colors. I figured, "It's just hair, right?" It's been brown, blonde, red, auburn, had pink streaks, been so black it was almost blue, had a purple tinge to it...the list goes on!

4. I am extremely shy and hate being the center of attention. I may not seem shy to most, but I work very hard at being outgoing and overcome my social anxiety. I hate large crowds!

5. Despite my shyness and fear of crowds, I am a pretty good public speaker and loved Speech in high school/college. I think it was because I obsessively went over what I was going to say and practiced a lot so that I didn't even need to use note cards.

6. I am not a fan of my birthday or surprises. Not because I don't want to get older, but I always want to know what's going to happen and don't like to be out of the loop. My birthday was/is always a reminder of my biological parents giving me up and again, I don't like being the center of attention. When I was in 1st grade, I had a birthday party with all of the girls in my grade invited. Mind you, I'm an only child. Needless to say, I was in tears the whole time and that was THE LAST TIME I had a big birthday party. We celebrate my "Gotcha Day" or the day I was adopted and it means more than my birthday!

7. I'm pretty sure I have A.D.D. (Attention Deficit Disorder) and I blame it on the kindergartners rubbing off on me, but I've had it my whole life. I'm also O.C.D. about things and get a high from organizing which is so ironic considering I have a million projects going at once and my house/classroom is always in a disarray, but hey, creativity is messy and I'm very creative! I do though LOVE everything coordinating and in it's place. I"ll always line things up in rainbow order as well and get a high buying organizing/office supplies.

Now I get to nominate some of my favorite blogs!
